Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable: Process and verify vendor invoices, expense claims, and other payables. Ensure timely and accurate recording of invoices, resolve discrepancies, and initiate payments. Maintain accounts payable records and reconcile statements.
Accounts Receivable: Generate customer invoices, monitor outstanding balances, and follow up on overdue payments. Update accounts receivable records, reconcile customer accounts, and respond to billing inquiries.
General Ledger Maintenance: Assist in maintaining the general ledger by recording journal entries, reconciling accounts, and preparing balance sheet schedules. Ensure accurate and up-to-date financial data in the accounting system.
Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations to match transactions and resolve discrepancies between bank statements and accounting records. Investigate and resolve any variances.
Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing financial reports, such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Provide support in analyzing financial data and preparing reports for management or external stakeholders.
Expense Management: Review employee expense reports, verify supporting documents, and process reimbursements. Ensure adherence to company policies and compliance with expense guidelines.
Data Entry and Documentation: Accurately enter financial transactions into the accounting system and maintain supporting documentation. Organize and file financial records and documents for easy retrieval and audit purposes.
Compliance and Audit Support: Assist in ensuring compliance with financial regulations, accounting principles, and internal controls. Prepare documentation and provide support during internal and external audits.
Administrative Support: Provide general administrative assistance to the accounting department, such as answering inquiries, managing correspondence, and scheduling meetings. Assist with special projects or tasks as assigned.
Continuous Improvement: Identify process inefficiencies and suggest improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and productivity within the accounting function. Stay updated with industry trends and developments in accounting practices.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience as an accounts assistant or in a similar role is advantageous.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with great attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Familiarity with relevant financial regulations and compliance requirements.

Salary: Up to AED2,500.00 per month
