Role Purpose
Whilst the role sits within the accommodation and facilities workstream in the welfare service, this is a key position to provide on-site support across the entire strategic logistics directorate in the usage and production GIS information and the integration of CAD data into and out of GIS.
The purpose of this role is to understand the suitability of information supplied to support the development of our solutions, this will include a full appreciation of acceptable quality relating to the format, accuracy, and suitability of this data.
This understanding will relate to GIS and CAD data supplied from multiple sources and correspondingly strong organizational discipline when it comes to data management.

The primary purpose of the role is to act as a focal point assisting the PMs and their teams in gathering and utilizing spatial and graphical data to create outcomes within GIS to support the designs of the strategic logistics directorate.Being part of the fulfilling the 2030 vision which is explicitly linked to the development of vibrant leisure and hospitality sectors with improving the quality of life and providing services for Saudis gives further underlying purpose to this role.
Key Responsibilities, including
- To source available CAD and GIS data from teams within NEOM;
- To establish a trusted network of contacts for collaboration to manage & exchange data;
- To maintain a data register establishing an audit trail of incoming/outgoing data;
- To ensure the quality and integrity of CAD and GIS data is maintained;
- Work with this data within the latest versions of ESRI ArcGIS Pro (3.0) software;
- Implement GIS analysis and produce output data and maps to support those designers who in turn support the design evolution of many of the projects undertaken within the directorate;
- Ability to extract CAD information from within Autodesk and Bentley suite of software products;
- Align with the needs of the BIM, CAD and GIS project/NEOM standards and specifications;
- Training will be provided on any NEOM based systems.
- Develop and produce presentations and reports as required
- Capturing and implementing lessons learned throughout the project lifecycle, supporting the development of best practice and governance at project and organizational levels.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Effective communicator, both written and orally, with excellent interpersonal skills;
- Collaborative working style and consulting behaviours;
- Ability to operate autonomously, skilled in developing and building relationships;
- Expert understanding of the ESRI suite of products;
- Strict adherence and discipline with regards to data management and be an example of ‘how to’ to others;
- Understanding of the latest Autodesk, and Bentley suite of software products;
- Able to quickly learn and understand complex organisational structures and ways of working;
- Highly computer literate including Microsoft Office as a minimum and a willingness to learn new programs quickly;
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Qualifications
- Minimum ten (10) years’ experience working within an ESRI GIS environment
- 15 years in a GIS/CAD ‘centric’, technical role;
- (Suitable) Degree qualified
