Why is this role really critical to us?
This role is E2E accountable for managing all Database structures (MSSQL, NoSQL,etc ) served to Vodafone Business Enterprise Customers. This role is also accountable for designing, planning and operating of corporate customer projects.
How will you spend your time at Vodafone?
Primary responsibilities include recruiting staff, establishing and working towards strategic departmental goals, managing a departmental budget and oversee the functioning productivity of a company division
E2E accountability for Vodafone’s Managed Database services served to Vodafone’s enterprise customers, responsible for 7/24 customer and infrastructure operations and delivery of database structures.
Manages a team of Level2 and Level3 support teams and also the Delivery team.
Planning and implementation of new Database services for enterprise products and services with the help of database planning teams
Proactively reviewing current architecture and capabilities, evaluating new technologies and solutions
Manage processes of;
installation and delivery support for Database systems and structures,
7*24 – Level2 and Level3 support of Database systems and structures
Proactive and reactive incident and request management
Delivery of new service platforms and customer systems
Attend customer meetings and implement architectural design
You are just the person we’ve been looking for, if you have:
- Degree qualified in Engineering discipline preferably Telecommunication, Electronics, Electricity or Computer Science
- Minimum 3 years of people management experience
- At least 10 years hands on experience on Database Operations on multi-vendor environment
- At least 5 years customer management experience
- Significant experience of planning, designing and operation activities
- Significant Experience of Database monitoring technologies
- Deep understanding of the transmission technologies
- Good understanding of Cloud , Database and Operationg system Technologies
- Significant Experience of ITIL processes design and implementation
- Good knowledge of Database, Operating system concepts and Cloud services
- Extensive problem solving skills and innovation
- Good written and verbal English
