As a Medical Physicist for high precision radiotherapy and stereotactic radiosurgery, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective delivery of radiation therapy treatment to patients. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around the acceptance testing, commissioning, and quality assurance of radiation therapy equipment, specifically focusing on Radixact Tomotherapy and CyberKnife systems. You will be responsible for producing and verifying treatment plans for these advanced systems, performing dosimetry calculations, and ensuring that clinical prescriptions are accurately implemented.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: Acceptance Testing, Commissioning, and Quality Assurance:
Conduct acceptance testing of radiation therapy equipment, Radixact Tomotherapy, and CyberKnife, to ensure their proper functioning and compliance with standards.
Perform commissioning of new equipment, verifying its performance and safety.
Conduct regular quality assurance checks and calibrations to maintain the accuracy and precision of the treatment machines.

Treatment Planning:
Generate and verify radiation treatment plans using treatment planning systems, following clinical prescriptions.
Ensure that treatment plans conform to the highest standards and deliver the prescribed dose precisely to the target while minimizing exposure to surrounding healthy tissues.

Quality Assurance and In Vivo Dosimetry:
Perform quality assurance testing of radiation therapy equipment, identifying and addressing any deviations or issues promptly.
Implement patient-specific quality assurance procedures, including in vivo dosimetry, to monitor treatment accuracy during patient treatment sessions.

Medical Physics and Radiation Safety:
Collaborate with other medical professionals, including radiation oncologists and radiation therapists, to ensure the safe and effective delivery of radiotherapy treatments.
Provide relevant advice and expertise to ensure radiation protection and safety requirements are met within the hospital.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Physics or a related field is required.
Master's Degree (MSc) in Medical Radiation Physics is required.
A Ph.D. in a relevant field is preferable.

Professional License:
A valid license in Medical Physics from the home country is required.
A valid license from the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) is preferable.

Experience:
Preferred 3-5 years of clinical medical physics experience in radiation therapy, with a focus on high precision radiotherapy and stereotactic radiosurgery.

Language:
Proficiency in English is required for effective communication with the international medical team and patients. Knowledge of Arabic is considered desirable to facilitate communication with local patients and staff.
